INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

* Installation R ecommendation: JBA recommends in most cases that the vehicle be taken to a reputable exhaust shop.

RECOMMENDED TOOLS:

pry bar

ratchet

1 5mm deep s ocket

pair of channel lock pliers

anti-seize

spray lubricant or penetrating o il

PAR TS LIST:

A. Intermediate pipe 1

B . Muffler 1

C. Tail pipe 1

D. Rear muffler cla mp 1

E. Front muffler clamp 1

1. R emove and inventory JBA exhaust.

TO STAR T:

2. Disconnect negative battery cable and allow

vehicle exhaust to cool.

3. With the vehicle raised and properly

supported, use a 1 5mm socket to remove the

bolts that attach the exhaust system to the

Catalytic converter.

4. U sing a pry bar or a pair of channel lock pliers,

remove hangers from rubber isolators at the top

of the muffler.

5. U sing the channel lock pliers, remove the

tail pipe hanger from the rubber isola tor.

6. R emove the original exhaust system from

the vehicle.

7. Using original fasteners, connect intermediate

pipe (A) to the factory cata lytic converter pipe.

8. Tighten the fasteners.

9. Slip muffler (B) onto intermediate pipe (A).

10. Insert hang er rods on the muffler into the

fa ctory rubber isola tors.

1 1. Atta ch cla mp (E ) to the front of the muffler (B).

12. Install tailpipe (C).

13. Insert tailpipe (C) into muffler (B).

14. Install tail pipe hanger into factory rubb er

isolator.

15. Install clamp (D) onto rear of muffler (#).

16. Align tail pip e (C). tighten clamp (D).

17. After installation, it is recomme nded

that all clamps b e re-tig htened.

18. Tack weld all slip connections in three spots.

1 9. Lower the vehicle and rea tta ch the negative

battery cable.

NO T ES:

1 ) It ma y be necess ary to loosen and rea lign the

sparetireforproperclearance.

2) All exhaust systems will expand about 1"

rearward whe n exhaust tem peratures start to rise

3)UseAnti-seizeonthreadsofclamps.
